Pooh Bear's story
Pooh Bear, a well-mannered, healthy, middle-aged gentleman, is not our typical unclaimed stray. Pooh Bear is so named because he is such a cuddly, lovable dog that, even though he came in with infected bite wounds from being attacked by another dog, he tolerated the pain and cleaning of his wounds with kisses and sweetness. It's obvious he's well-acquainted with couch cuddling because he always wants to be in our laps. Pooh walks well on the leash, is housetrained, does well with kids, rides well in the car, and is just about perfect in every way! He is fine with other dogs and LOVES people, but he'd prefer a home without cats. This guy would be PERFECT for someone who wants a low-maintenance companion, or even an elderly person who can't handle a hyperactive dog. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped!
We do not ask for set adoption fees but instead show adopters the medical expenses we have invested in the individual animal and ask for a donation that adopters feel is appropriate. All adoption donations go 100% toward the care of our wonderful animals!

Because AdoptAPet requires breeds be selected, we do our best to be as accurate as possible, but we have no way to be sure. All of our dogs get individualized attention and care to get to know them as thoroughly as possible, and we urge adopters to consider who they are as individuals, not the breeds that are selected for their profiles.
